George was one of our outstanding photographers. He held a Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society. He was in his late 70's when he came to Chesterfield and impressed us not just with his work from the last 50 years but with his new work and enthusiasm for new images, increasingly 'abstract' and equally enjoyable. He died in the summer of 2002 and we miss him. This gallery is one of his portfolios.
It is called
A Day at the Tate
These digital copies do not do justice to the originals - enjoy the photos as George enjoyed taking them, showing us his keen eye and keen wit.
